Applications Compressor Oils are recommended for use in all types of rotary screw, rotary vane and reciprocating air compressors. They are available in four ISO viscosity grades: 32, 68, 100 and 150 which cover most compressor applications. Compressor Grade Selection
Note: The above are general guidelines only. Consult your OEM service manual for specific make/model recommendations. The full benefits of an oil change will only be achieved if contamination by the used oil is minimized. Some makes of compressors do not permit complete draining so if the drained oil is heavily oxidized (shown by significant increase in total acid number and viscosity), the new oil will not give optimum performance. For complete instructions on conversion, flushing and cleaning varnished compressors, consult us. Compressor Oils are designed for air compressors running in moderate conditions. For severe service or special compressor applications we recommend the following: Super Compressor Fluids – Available in five viscosity grades for up to 8000 hours in high temperature or extended duty compressors. RCF 1000 – For greater resistance to varnish formation in extended duty or high pressure reciprocating compressors. For product specifications and application guidelines for Super Compressor Fluids or RCF 1000, contact us. Caution:
Compressor Oils should NOT be used to compress pure oxygen. |
